Activity Map is a plugin from Adobe Analytics (Omniture) which allows you to quickly and easily overlay on any web page the number of clicks on each link. This data is avaialable from 14th September 2017.
It differs from SessionCam in that it’s 100% of captured data (whereas SessionCam is sampled) and it will match back to other data you see within Adobe Analytics with actual click figures. You can also see real-time click data, apply segments, view different date ranges and different metrics.
Installing Adobe Activity Map
- Download a copy of the plugin here.
- Click the Plug in icon to load the login screen – be patient as this may take a few seconds to appear!
- Login with your Adobe Analytics Details.
The below variables are available in Adobe Workspace to drag and drop into your projects and reporting;
- Activity Map Page – Lists the pages where a link was clicked on. This is NOT the same as Page(s) reporting and if you use Page Views you will not get the same number in this report as you would in Pages.
- Activity Map Region – Lists all collected link regions across the whole web site. Note that if a region appears on multiple pages, the metric will be aggregated across all its pages.
- Activity Map Links – Lists all collected links across the whole web site.
- Activity Map Links & Region – Lists all collected links with their region across the whole web site.
