Reports & Analytics Location: Navigation → Global Nav Interaction

The Global Nav Interaction report captures clicks on the Global Navigation bar on eComm:

Clicks on the links are recorded in the below format:

ar:topnav:category:linkname

So in the example in the image above, a click on ‘Dolls, bears and accessories’ would be captured as;

ar:topnav:toys:dollsbearsandaccessories:

Metrics you can use in the Global Nav Interaction report;

• Instances
  • Tells you the number of times each link was clicked
• Visits
  • De-duped Instances to tell you the number of customers who clicked each link. E.g. if a customer clicked a link twice in one visit it would have 2 instances and 1 visit.

Note: Do not use the Global Nav Interaction report for sales or conversion metrics as it is a prop, or traffic variable, and conversion metrics are not tied back to it.
