Product Views is a count of the number of times a PDP (product details page) was loaded. Product SKU is captured on PDP load and is used to feed all product reports (Trading Manager, Web Category etc).

How are Product Views used?

Product Views are used to rank products and product categories to determine which are the most popular and are receiving the highest volume of traffic.

Product views can also be used as a top level traffic measure, to give you an idea of how many PDP’s are viewed in a particular date range, or how many products a typical user might see in a visit.

Which reports would you use Product Views in?

If you are interested in the traffic volumes for a particular product or product category, or want to rank products by volume, then you should use Product Views in the Products reports.

Product Views can also be used alone, or alongside other traffic measures such as Visits to give an indication of overall traffic volumes.
