Report Suites and Channels
Currently, every digital channel has its own Report Suite in Adobe Analytics, meaning that data for each of these channels is captured and stored separately, and so reports can only be run for one channel at a time. In Reports & Analytics the report suite can be selected from the top right hand corner of the screen;
The key report suites are:
Desktop Website – Contains all data captured for users on our desktop website and is commonly known as ‘eComm’ throughout the business. This channel is designed for users on computers, laptops and tablets. However small amounts of smartphone traffic are still seen on this channel, due to several issues such as re-directs not working.
Mobile Website – Contains all data captured for users on our mobile website and is commonly known as ‘mComm’ throughout the business. Customers on smartphones are automatically redirected here when they try to access argos.co.uk.
Android Tablet App – Contains all data captured for users on our legacy Android Tablet Apps.
Android Mobile App – Contains all data captured for users on our legacy Android Mobile Apps.
iPad App– Contains all data captured for users on our legacy iPad Apps.
iPhone App– Contains all data captured for users on our legacy iPhone Apps.
Apps – Contains all data captured for users on the latest version of our apps. Eventually this will replace the four individual app report suites to give a single, amalgamated view of app performance. Until all customers are using the latest version of our apps, the data from this suite should be used in conjunction with the 4 individual suites to get an overall view. Use the Channel Type report (eVar30) to split out the operating system and device type within the Apps report suite if required.
Ireland Website – Contains all data captured for users on our Irish desktop and mobile websites combined. If you wish to see desktop and mobile performance broken out you will need to use the ROI Mobile (eVar26) dimension.
New Store Browser – Contains all data captured for users on the New Store Browsers in Digital Concept Stores.
Gift Finder – Contains all data captured for users on the Gift Finder which is live during Peak.
Heart of House – Contains all data captured for users visiting the standalone Heart of House Website.
Test Report Suites – All report suites listed above have a test version, e.g. ‘Desktop Website Test’. These are used by developers for testing releases and new functionality. The data in test report suites is not real customer data and should not be used for reporting.
